I'm looking for a C-Brat in the Puget Sound area to captain my new-to-me (used) 22ft Cruiser from Pt. Townsend, through the Ballard Locks, to a marina slip in Portage Bay, Seattle.
I'm a boating novice, just started the USPS classes last week, so I don't feel up to the job. But I would want to get some on-the-water instruction in the boat and how to drive it.
I had planned to trailer it to Seattle and launch it, until I found out that the hand-me-down truck I was going to use needs more repair work than the truck is worth.
The boat is the former "Nancy H". It's sitting on its Pacific dual-axle trailer in Pt. Townsend.
We're going for the check-out ride tomorrow to close the deal, and the marina slip is available starting Oct 1. The trip would probably have to take place on a weekend.
I'm open to suggestions for a fair fee for the service. Steak dinners? $$$?
Or maybe one of you can suggest a good boat hauler?
