Anyone going to the factory this week?

Hi Everyone!

Well, the time has come! Valkyrie is being built this week and our countdown to delivery on May 13 has started.

If anyone is going to the factory, could you possibly take pictures of our boat and send them to us? It's a green 22 cruiser, order number 22285 and was sold to Nick and Marcia Rukavina through Cutter Marine.

Any help would make the wait go faster.

Thanks,

Nick and Marcia

Okay Nick. I was there today and took pictures of Mullens boat and Bakers boat. I need to look for email addresses to send them out, although I guess I could just put them here. But that's a little much for a thread.

Pat/Patti(here) will be there on Fri. I will be back on Tues or so . Between us we should be able to get a shot or two.

I'll repeat what I posted earlier, what is really best to help us find somebody's boat in the factory (there are a LOT of boats in there!) is the dealer name and the customer's last name - i.e., Cutter / Customer Mullen. This info is on the transom of all the boats. Then as David mentioned, send us a PM with your email address so we can forward any photos we may take.

David,

That would be great! Thanks for your help.

As always, thanks to David and Pat who have taken photos and passed them along! I got a few from Scott Matthews at the plant earlier in the week. We have windows, Houston... I repeat, we have windows. Looks like a few cabinets too. I have posted the photos in our album.

We are hoping to have her shipped back east next week. Who knows, might be optimistic, but there aren't that many trucks heading the whole way to MD, and Cutter has 2 other boats waiting to come home, so I'm not sure what will happen.

We've also given her a name. She'll be "C's the Day." We already have our painter lined up. Thanks again for the shots, and best of luck to Daydream, Anna Leigh, Valkyrie, and all the rest of our fine C-Dory craft coming to life in WA.

PS- Was in Portland and Eugene, OR from Sat. until yesterday. Beautiful views of Mts. Hood and Ranier yesterday. Didn't see any C-Dories though, even at the Lane County boat show in Eugene. Lots of gnarly looking metal boats with jet engines... Wow, sure would scare some folks on the Chesapeake with one of those babies! I'll take the C-Dory...

David, if you happen to see our boat on Friday, perhaps you could snap a few pics.

It went to the finish shop last week and is supposed to be completed next week. (delayed from original estimated completion date)

It is a gray 25 Cruiser. Has swim platform and an auxiliary helm station, no engines.

Dealer name is either SeaPower Marine or Outboard Motor Shop in Oakland, Ca.(One firm with two names) :?

Our last name is Irvine (Don and Mary)

E-mail is: don@donaldirvine.com

Thanks,

Don

It will more likely be Patty looking for your boat tomorrow...David will be at Guemes Island I am pretty sure...

Pat & Patty reported that C's the Day was put on a truck on Friday and should be headed home to the Chesapeake this week. They also took some photos which I will post to our album. I guess it's up to me now to follow and document the progress once she arrives at Cutter Marine. Thanks again to all who saw her at the plant and reported back. It's been fun!

Cheers,

Great, gotjm3. I will be at the factory on Wed. Be looking for Daydream, Anna Leigh, and Valkrye.

Anyone wanting pictures make sure you give your email addess. I still haven't found a home for the pictures I took Of whqt i thought was Bakers 25. Maybe I took pictures of the wrong boat.?? :crook

Jeff Messmer told Patty on Friday that Baker and Rukavina had not started production yet. The 25 mold was being readied, and maybe Baker will be going in it soon, or already has gone it it...

You had emailed me pictures of Meander 25 last week. Meander = Baker and visa versa.

Thanks for the pictures and don't hesitate to take more!

Ron - I am aware Meander = Baker, jusy relaying what Jeff Messmer told Patty. Either David was confused OR Jeff was mistaken! Either way, Patty and I and David will all keep a lookout for you new boat!

My boat should also be in the works down there. And boy-would-I-ever like to see a photo of her -- even a progress report would be great! She's a black 22' cruiser and the tag should show E.Q. as the dealer and Corwin Drenkel as owner.

If you do get a photo of Little Catelyn you could either e-mail me at corwinpaul@msn.com or maybe I could start a new photo album -- oh no, now this boating thing has created a need for a digital camera.

Thanks,
Corwin

I just got word that our boat is completed. It will be trucked to the Bay Area later this week. The engines are already here.

YESSSSS!!! 8)

TyBoo,

Thanks for setting up the photo album! What a guy! Even reads BETWEEN the lines.

Spoke on the phone with Jeff for the first time -- he says the hull and deck of my boat are ready to be joined, but they need to replace the mold for the high-top roof for the 22. He asked how tall I am -- I imagine it doesn't help having the boat at this stage when everything is this busy and have my boat waiting on a new mold. This will put the schedule back about two weeks, but I was glad to hear from him and at 6'-1", I'll be waiting for the new mold. No, no, not that kind of mold!

This is a GREAT board! Thanks again,
Corwin
