Anyone with a C-22 Cruiser in San Francisco Area?

Hi, we've been researching for a year and have decided we want to buy a C-Dory 22... but, believe it or not, we've not seen one in person nor had a ride in one. We were hoping to find a C-Brat willing to show us his boat, so that we could get the feel of it without dealer/seller pressure. Is there anyone around who could help us out?

I plan on launching at Brannan and cruising around in the Delta this weekend. Just keeping an eye on the weather to determine my exact plans. Your welcome to meet me there if you like.

If it's not too far, there is the Seattle Boat Show and C-Brat Get Together coming up the end of January. You could meet us there, we could probably arrange for you to see a boat or 2 and there would be no pressure, just a bunch off really happy, satisfied owners talking about boats, trips, and boats and trips and stuff and boats and trips and:smile

Hope that works.

When you get a C-Dory you get the whole family, so might just want to check 'em all out. :thup :hug :love :hug2 :thup

Hi Mary,
I know you said you did not want to get involved with a dealer at this point, however, when we were looking a few years ago and were visiting in Calif. we stopped in to the dealer on the Oakland side of the estuary, the Outboard Motor Boat shop, I believe it was called. Great folks there, very helpful and absolutely no pressure or pushy salespeople. They had a 22, 25, Tom Cat and a Venture model for us to climb around on at our leisure at the time. After we looked around all our questions were answered and we then went on our way with a bunch of C-Dory literature. We live in NY so did not buy from them but left with a good feeling about how they did business. Best of luck on your search.

We met up with Mary and Rob at Brannan Island state park this morning, unfortunately the winds were predicted to be 6mph instead it was 17 with gusts of 25, not a nice day to be on the water, ther than that it was great meeting them and we spent a couple hours talking C-Dory's and going over the boat. I think they are headed to the nearest dealer to buy a tow vehicle.

We wish them well in their hunt for a 22 cruiser

Bit of a blustery day but no day is a bad day to see a beautiful boat. Thanks to Don and Brenda for taking so much time with us to talk about the boat and do a good once-over. It was most helpful and we soon hope to be joining the official owner ranks!
