Be HIGHLY suspect of this boat. This boat was being sold from California originally. The original bidder failed, I was the second highest bidder so eBay got back in touch.

I emailed the seller and a short while later received a message back from somebody with a very odd email address (typical spammer stuff). I replied back to him with an account I use for these kinds of things and never heard back. I also emailed the seller directly through eBay with no responses back.

The fact that it is now in Michigan on eBay without a minimum bid just seems a bit odd.

Hopefully it is legitimate, but Buyer Beware!

Here is the link to the original post discussing the boat earlier this summer:

haakebecks did you contact E-Bay on this "second" sale? There are some strange parts of the listing, such as portipotty, when the boat has a holding tank and marine head, the fuel at 41 to 75 gallons etc.

Hopefully no one gets taken for a ride!

I sent the seller a few questions and asked if I could see the boat. If they will not let you inspect in advance of a bid, it is likely not a good idea to go forward. Also note that the seller has no current feedback on Ebay, even old feedback is all as a buyer not seller. You can still see the CF numbers on the forward hull but no current year sticker. The motors and trailer look brand new, check out the props on the motors and the fenders on the trailer. At the price that did not work last time, many of us would be buyers. I wished I could have seen Great Republic (27" IO) - a lot of boat for the money.

I also ask the seller if I could view the boat since I live in MI but got no response. He lists the 115 Mercury as a 4 stroke but if you look at the picture it says "Saltwater" on the cowl, which I believe is the 2 stroke model. Beware!!!

got an email from the ebayer whose account was hacked. We should all follow up on these, I was not able to get ebay to move but an email to the account holder worked, he had not used the account for many years and so did not see the hack job. It was pulled I believe by Ebay as a result of the account owners contacting them.
