What's my point? Don't really have one but you lurkers out there could speak up more often...

This is more an apology than a response. I've received a few PMs from folks who don't post on the forum. This morning, I found a PM from 10 days ago (while dealing with my shower leaking situation) that I missed. I responded right away, but felt bad that I missed it. So, Charlie S, if you are reading this, I did respond to you.

For any other folks who wonder about posting here: that question you may be wondering about is probably going through someone else's mind, as well. Ask away. If you do it on the forum here, you may get several opinions... it may spawn into another thread... and we all learn from it. Goodness knows, I've asked plenty of questions here, sometimes just posted some experiences (or even ponderings :? ), and made a lot of friends along the way.

With the SBS coming up, there is the opportunity to meet a lot of those names you see here. I was welcomed with open arms, in part because of making some posts here (more likely because of the Blonde). We probably would have bought the boat anyway, but because of this forum, the decision-making was MUCH easier. :thup

Some folks need their morning jolt of caffiene... I check the C-Brats. This is the best owner's group I've had the pleasure to participate in.

Best wishes,
Jim B.

Yes, Please! Lurkers Rise Up! ...and speak! I don't want to continue being the only one on here asking dumb, I mean burning, critically important questions.

It's kinda like dating, John: you're on your best behavior at first, trying not to come across as a baffoon. Then, after you've hung around here long enough to embarass yourself a time or two, you discover the seach feature and find out LOTS of us have asked du... um, burning, critically important questions. If you can't impress them with your intellect, you can always serve as a bad example. Words to live by.

Best wishes,
Jim B.

Roger – at times I have wondered who were the big posters on this site beside Joe, Pat and of course Mike. Those three have to account for between 10 and 15% of the post on this site. I wonder if Mike knows Joe is quietly gunning for him?.

To the people that have not poster or seldom post – sometimes the first post is the hardest but more often it is the third, fourth or later post that are the hardest. This site isn’t just about asking questions, it is about discussing our boats, our life experiences and our expectations or just joking with our fellow Brats. You can post about anything you want to, even answer a question that is asked, or more importantly just join in on the discussions. The only rule is ‘Just be nice!’. With a rule like that how can you go wrong.

Precisely 12.5%. Right in the middle of your range. BTW - you can go to the memberlist link and sort by posts in descending order to see who are the most talkative ones. You're #9, accounting for 1.75% of the total.

Hey Jim, that's a new one for me. What's a "Baffoon".. :?:

 Oh, wait, maybe a cross between a buffoon and a baffalo? :disgust

I love new words!!!

I rest my case! :crook

I could say that I spelled that for the "effect" so the non-posters could see that you can survive making BUFFOON of yourself.

What was that my Mother used to say... if you can't dazzle 'em with your brilliance, you can at least serve as a bad example." 8)
