It's been a long time since my last visit, but we still have our CD 16 Cruiser "Popcorn". It is now in the process of being refurbed due to a number of years of inactivity. My original Suzuki 50 turned out to be a disaster, as it developed a head gasket problem allowing seawater to enter the oil. This required a new short block and related accessories. The engine never was right after that, so I ended up trading it for a Mariner 60 2-stroke. Simpler is better!
The boat has suffered weathering due to the FL sun, but will be getting a full detail shortly. Should end up looking and running like new.
A couple of notes: 1. The bilge pump hose was obviously installed befor the top deck was mated, as there is no way to replace the hose without installing an access port to gain access to the drain port.
2: The bow Navigation light was installed in such a way as to make it impossible to change the bulb without cutting and splicing the wire.
We should have all the repairs and refurbing completed within a week or two and are really looking forward to getting back on the water again!
I will add some new pix to my "Popcorn" album showing the results of our "restoration" ASAP.
