I foolishly planned one more fishing trip last weekend out of Homer but 20-30 knot winds and 7-8' seas put the "old kabosh" on that plan.
So I finally convinced myself it was over. Took all the fishing gear, guns and electronics off. Took everything off the back deck and serviced the engines.
Got out the power washer, fixed it again, then cleaned the whole boat. Looked pretty good for a 24 yr old C-Dory.
Then installed the frame for the cover over the back deck and installed and tied down the cover. Parked it not too far from the house so I can see it ok when peeking out the windows ocassonally. That is good therapy in the dead of winter.

I don't know about you all but covering my boat is always the "baddest day" of the year for me. Only 7 more months to wait............uuuuuuggggghhh :( :( :( :( :(

Jack-

I feel for ya' bud! Seven months on the trailer in storage!

But then again, you guys in Alaska can catch more fish in 5 months than we can down here in twelve, so there's some compensaion in that!

Joe. :teeth

Actully Joe, we can catch more fish in an afternoon than most can in a season fishing the lower 48.
Being the wimp that I am, I quit almost a month ago now. And like Jack have her positioned where a quick glance is easily gained during the winter (on day's with enough light to see)
