Bad news to any of us who use the BIS Portal website.
According to the website, they lost the ability to provide both wind and temperature forecasting due to the loss of their data source and absence of any funding to replace it.
See their website at http://bis_portal.apl.washington.edu/bis_portal_app.php
This is a shame because their detailed wind data, which allowed one to narrow into any area in the Puget Sound, was a tremendously useful function for seemingly very accurate forecasting of wind conditions out to (I believe it was) a 36 hour range.
Take care.
