Just returned from fishing Barkley Sound out of Bamfield. Weather was awesome -- one day rough waters, and 4 days relatively flat. Limited on salmon in 2 days, then had to catch and release. One large 15 lb. snapper while bottom fishing plus 40 lb and 20 lb halibut -- caught within the Port Alberni Inlet coming in from offshore. 40 lb'r snapped the harpoon steel line at the boat. Great fun and great fishing plus beautiful scenery

Yeh, I know, the fish and my vest make us look like twins, cept'n for the fish has bigger and better eyes.

Am so very jealous.

BTW, that yelloweye you are holding is probably about 75-85 years old.
