Donna just came home and told me that she was told they clocked gusts in the harbor at 115MPH
 
Oh my goodness! Those are HURRICANE force winds with below freezing temps. And I was all bummed today because we had winds gusting above 40 mph, but the high for the day was 83º. :disgust You win.

I was hunting several years ago for the big bruins in Jap Bay during November and remember watching the wind (or more precisely williwaws) come over the ridge and hit the water blowing it up in the air. It was impressive and scary at the same time. We were walking back to camp along the beach in driving rain. Sleeping in the tent that night was a real thrill as the wind laid onto our faces first one way and then another. As W.C. Fields once said, "It's not a fit night out for man nor beast."
 
It just started to sprinkle here....and it's 50 degrees....cold for me...
I think it is about time for another Gulf trip...maybe that Gulf of Texas this time......someplace warm. :bat
