Bill, Mike - HELP!!!

My C-Brats screen has become infected with (gasp!)... snow! No, not the kind like on your TV with a bad signal, this is big ol' snowflakes in the borders. I moved 1749 miles south to get away from the "evil white death". I strapped a snowshovel on the front of the motorhome and started driving south... when we got to a place where someone asked, "What's that?", we knew we were home.

I can change the background screen on my Mac... pretty islands and beautiful turquoise water. Is there any chance I can trade in the snowflakes on my C-Brats screen for palm trees? :xnaughty If that won't work, girls in bikinis would be fine, as well.

Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter.

Warm wishes,
Jim B.

PS - Like many, we're listening to Christmas carols right now... "Mele Kalikimaka" and "How'd You Like to Spend Christmas on Christmas Island?" are my particular favorites. 8)

HA! Small price to pay for your location!

I remember living in the SF Bay area and every Christmas we'd turn the AC as low as it would go til we started shivering and then we could build a fire in the fireplace and it "felt" a bit more like Christmas!

Happy Holidays to you, Joan and Molly the boat cat!

Jim-

Here's something to warm up your snow flakes or whatever:

Feeling Better Now?

Where did you find firewood in san francisco? I remember watching a whole neighborhood erupt in a riot over a palm tree root wad we left on a highway construction project.

Jim-your allusion to the shovel reminds me of the passage in 'The Odyssey" I think, where the old sailor walks inland with an oar on his shoulder until someone asks him what it is.
