Blowing my fuse(s)

Last week, I blew a fuse when I stupidly used a wire brush on the always live lead to the GPS.

Now that I know where the fuses reside, I just might be able to replace one or two should the need arise. I can imagine being stuck somewhere out in the wilds and having a little piece of broken wire being the only difference between me getting back to a nice walleye dinner and me BECOMING a great dinner for a bear!

I figure I should have on hand at least two spare fuses of each type used in the boat. I'd go out and find and count all the fuses except that the boat is a thousand miles away right now. (Hint: ALWAYS look in your rearview mirror to make sure your boat is following you home!)

Does anyone happen to know the full set of fuses used by a 2007 22 Cruiser? The only add on right now is the GPS and I know that fuse rather well. :embarrased

Thanks!

I would just pick up a couple of verity packs or the two different types of fuses. You have your round traditional fuses in 2-50 amp and then you have the flat two prong type in 2-50 amps. I truly doubt you have anything bigger then 50 amp on board. just have 5 of each in a small box in your tool box. You have a tool box right???

I'm going to put together a tool kit from stuff at home.

I had a screwdriver on my maiden voyage.

I'm not at all handy and tools are generally dangerous in my hands but I thought I would have some on hand in case a need and a capable person happened to come along at the same time.

Assembling a kit from stuff at home will also reduce the chance that I will try to fix something at home.

Thought about getting a tool roll. Just need to find a way to hold sockets.

Just one more note. I found a couple of mini two prong fuses on electronics in our boat and one of which has failed in the last year so you might pick up a pack of those as well.

If you have a Walmart in your area (who doesn't) check their boating area. I bought an orange plastic locking box w/ a seal for $15. It has a tray for small stuff and hold all our tools, fuses, tape etc. Gonna get one more for flares, first aid supplies...and WM used to sell a nice set of SS crescent wrench, pliers etc.
