Boat Transport

I need help finding a company that could tow my 22ft'er from Oly. Wa, area to central Oregon coast. I've searched on the site and read some very scary stuff. Was going to use Dudley Boat Transport in Gig Harbor but it's out of business and there is a BBB warning on the company.

Many Brats have used Cory Gracey, Sharp Yacht Transport and raved about his service. He picked up our TomCat when we sold it and was in Ventura, CA the next day! I'm sure someone here will chime in with his number.

Cory's a good guy. He brought my TomCat to me from Baltimore. I remember Mark Grove saying something recently about Cory taking a job with Nordic tugs and I think the implication was that he wasn't in the contract boat moving biz anymore. I think Mark was recommending another fellow. I'll see if I can find that thread. It wasn't too long ago.

On edit - I found the relevant thread here. In it Marc says "Cory is a busy guy these days and I'd like to congratulate him on his new job with Nordic Tugs" and he recommended another guy for transport on the east coast.

Thanks for the replies. I'm trying SharpYachtTransport and I'll keep the group informed. Seems perfect for me here in Or./Wa. --Ed.

Trailers can be rented for $95 a day from Aurora Rentals phone is 206-368 7368 Just look up Boat trailer rentals in google . A 22ft c-dory weighs about 3000lb with motor and very few options Trailer will weigh about 800-1000lb.We used to pull ours with a Honda Pilot .I guess it depends on your tow vehicle but you can rent a truck and trailer for a day maybe two days tops and that would be round trip .Just another option . Or pay another C-Brat to help out . Just throwing out some ideas Good Luck with boat move .

If you want to call Corey, his number is - or at least used to be - (425) 508-0802. If he is not hauling boats, for sure he knows who to recommend!
