Hi Gulf Coast CBGT-ers,
I've boated there for a long time and was glad to see Osprey's pictures. I'm always interested in trim, speed and planing in order to maximize fuel efficiency (is anybody not?) so I have general questions about the pictures of Falcon and Ashley Lynn. Notice the different ways in which the hulls rise above the water, and the different shapes and positions of the bow waves. I recognize some of these may be due to different speeds, but then compare the wakes. Unless the motor wake on Ashley Lynn runs out-of-frame-right (starboard
, ) she is running flatter and throwing a lot less water. I'd guess she is moving much faster, with less fuss, and with much better fuel usage. I'm also asking these questions because I have never seen a C-Dory (including my own
) running in the water.
Any Brats (including O, F and A.L.) got comparative thoughts?
