boating Photo tips

I suppose everyone else is already doing this BUT, While looking for a safe place to put my extra zoom camera lens that I need when boating I happened to set one down NEXT to a drink holder. One of the common plastic fold up kind works perfectly for keeping it handy and safe. Anyone have any other tips for boat photography?

Image stabalized lenses really help with on the water photography. I happen to use Cannon Lenses.
