Hi all,
Bob, Betsy and SeaPal arrived at the Ilion, NY marina on 6/14, that puts them about half way between the Hudson River and Oswego, NY where they will cross Lake Ontario on their way to Canada. We were lucky enough to spend a couple days with them, what a great and inspiring team! After getting a chance to stretch their legs a bit off the boat and do a bit of sightseeing here in central NY they cast off this morning in terrific weather (for a change) hoping to make it from Ilion, west on the Canal and across Oneida Lake to the Brewerton area before stopping again for the day. We really enjoyed their company and hope to see them again soon! Smooth sailing Bob and Betsy!! :smiled

There are a couple photos in my album under SeaPal, I couldn't figure out how to upload them to this note, would someone mind, thanks.

Holy smokes! They are a long way from home! I hope the rest of their trip is as good as you made this part of it for them. They are pretty neat folks, alright.

How nice of you to post about our visit, Rich and Kathie!! You got to it first. Like you did last night at the restaurant --- pretty darn fast on the draw!!

We had such a great visit with Annalee's crew. We love central New York and their property is exceptionally beautiful with a mega amount of acreage devoted to a tree farm. And the birds. Did we ever have fun watching them.
Wonderful colorful ones we haven't seen in Oregon.

Kathie and Rich couldn't have been more hospitable, even turning their laundry room over to us. Kathie prepared a very delicious dinner --- well yes, Rich did do a perfect job grilling those chicken kabobs. We had strawberry shortcake with Kathie's special secret ingredient. All this food talk--- can you tell we're hungry. Haven't eaten since breakast.

Yesterday we had beautiful weather and our hosts/tour guides took us
on an interesting field trip to Fort Stanwix, a re-creation on the original site
that was used during the Revolutionary War. We are loving being exposed to
all this history the East coast has to offer.

We sincerely thank Rich and Kathie for extending their warm C-brat friendship and hospitality to us.

We are over due on posting more Great Loop Cruise details and we will be doing that real soon.
