Best laid plans. I drove up to Lake Roosevelt in Northeast Washington
state and got to the boat launch with no problems. Put my money in the
envelope for launch, no problems. Got in the boat and went to open the
cabin door and could not get it to open. Problem was the track was full
of glass. I got in and found the windshield in a thousand pieces all over
the inside of the boat. Total bummer but got it all cleaned up and with
some duct tape and some foam I filled the hole. Spent that day and
most of the next on the water but with rain heading out way I decided
to head back and cover things up. I see Diamond Sea Glaze glass
on the net and will check with them and C Ranger to find out the best
way to go for replacement. How did it happen? Not a clue but got to
thinking of those cutouts on that C Dory heading south from Alaska
and what a good idea it was. I believe for towing in the future that
may be a good idea.
Lake Roosevelt is nice and well run by the National Park Service. Its
worth checking out. My chart plotter did not work there but did not
expect it to. The parks foldout map was my only chart. I will be back
but not today.. Bob Heselberg Eatonville Wa
