Whut...yer not interested in the new line of C-Brat boxers I'm coming out with?

Sorry, no briefs...me thinks a TugNuts logo is more appropriate for those.

George, No partridge in a pear tree :xnaughty

Bill, GREAT PATCH.

I'm in for some (4). Great idea. I'm going to pass on the briefs

Going to the pay place now.

I'm just wondering, but since the patch used for the burgee is machine sewn and now that the pattern is programmed, wouldn't it be possible to easily scale the pattern so that it could be used on other things (e.g. hats). Also, wouldn't be possible to get the program, codes, whatever, so that the "patch" pattern could be directly embroidered on to things (e.g. shirts) using commercial embroidery machines.

You (or someone) could organize the purchase of hats, shirts, etc., or maybe just make the pattern available so that anyone could take it to their local embroidery shop and have it put on whatever they wanted. I could see having a few shirts made with the C-Brats "logo" and the name of my boat on them for me and my "crew". If I had the logo pattern I could just get some shirts and go to the local team sports shop and get them done myself.

This also raises the issue as to who has the IP on the logo/design used on the burgee and is it freely available or would there be some sort of royalty involved if I decided to get a few hats made. Nowadays IP rights can become a big deal/PITA. Whoever came up with the logo can legitimately claim copyright on it.

Hi Bill,

Paid for 3 Burgees, Could not do the Patches. Took some trying to get the system to take an order for more than one at a time, but it finally did.

Still want the 4 patches.

ssobol, take a look at this thread for some answers to your questions.

I'm pretty sure that the guy that did the design has the rights to the design. Looks like that's our Bill DaNag. You might be onto something about the scaling though.

I like the idea of having it on my choice of apparel though too.

Thanks,

Harvey

It's pretty simple - Mike and I retain all ownership and copyrights on the C-Brat name and logos.

Fortunately, in all the years we've been doing this - we've only had one dork who assumed he could do anything he wanted with our logo/name. After several nasty emails back and forth, he relented.

The reason we've likely not had any other problems is due to our fair and liberal usage policy. Our primary rule - nobody can make money off the logo or name except us. If somebody wants to use the name or logo for personal use - we've always said OK, and actually encourage it.

For those wanting to get C-Brat merchandise made up for a gathering - we've yet to say no to such a request as long as the goods were given away or sold at cost, but do appreciate being asked first. This is also for the requestor's benefit, as I can provide original artwork in vector format - which often makes for a far nicer product.

No need for anyone to reserve a patch - I'll put up an order link shortly for them.

You'll have two options - full size (as is on the burgee) for $12, and a smaller 4" version for $8. Shipping is free if you are getting a burgee, as it's a flat rate envelope.

If you're only buying a patch, shipping will be same as the burgee - $6. So - buy a burgee.

OK, everyone - LAST CHANCE.

Taking orders until Sunday afternoon. Don't miss out - see the first post in this thread for details and the order link.

Also, RE patches - I simply haven't had time to put up an order form, but they need to be ordered at the same time as I supply the burgee numbers. So, if you want a patch - send me a PM ASAP, and include the following:

- Number of small, 4" patches you want @ $8.00 each

- Number of large, 9" patches (same size as burgee) you want @ $12 each

- Your email address

I'll send a payment invoice once PM is received.

If you ordered a burgee, please make sure and provide the same email address you used when making payment. There's no charge for shipping of the patches if ordered with a burgee.

If you only want patches, and did not order a burgee - please specify that in your PM. Your invoice will include a $6 USPS Priority shipping charge.

Burgee ordering has closed.

If you missed out - there's still hope. We'll be ordering up a few extras, along with some extra small and large patches.

Don't post here or PM me that you want one. Rather, once they arrive I'll put up an announcement along with the ordering process.

Hoping to have them in hand in 4-6 weeks. Watch here for further updates.

I'm all for the ball caps and sweatshirts. Tee shirts too would be great. I'd also buy a decal for the car back window. Good stuff!

Checking the mail box pretty often. Haven't been here for a while (480 messages since last check in) so kind of missed the Patch order cut off.

See what I get for goofing up.
