C-Brats Secret Santa

Wow! What a great gift from my Secret Santa. I received a copy of Following the Curve of Time, the autobiography of Wylie Blanchet who wrote The Curve of Time, one of my favorite books of all time. I have not read this book, and I am so excited to have it. A big :hug2 and thank you to my Secret :xlol .

Merry Christmas to all!!

A big thanks to my secret Santa also. I received a nice stainless steel West Marine Multi-Driver Wrench Kit consisting of an adjustable crescent wrench, a driver handle and two double ended bits (phillips and slotted). Thanks Santa! :thup

My Secret Santa got me a VERY cool 9 inch wooden model of a CD22! Even with "my" blue stripe! I don't get to see C-Dory "stuff" around these parts at all, so this was a big kick for me.

Santa also put in the box two heavy, brass fishing rod holders...the kind you would see on some big, salt water rig. Hmmmm....Since I'm in Southern Illinois, Santa has some kind of sense of humor, too! If you want to know what the fishing rod holders look like, go to this picture in Captain's Cat album, and look at the two rod holders lying on a shelf (look underneath the left side of the table in the front).

I'll try to post pictures later, after the insanity of the day subsides.

Thanks, Santa!

Drat! Guess you can run but not hide!! :xlol

Couldn't sell these anchors so I had to do something else with them!

I got a neat paper boat book complete with Birthday Cards from the original recipient! Very nice!!

Thanks Bill for officiating this event, maybe it'll be big enough next year so we can be more stealthy! :bat

Santa brought me a neat little multi-socket tool, which will make the road trip toolbox quite a bit more compact and efficient.

Thanks, Santa. :xnaughty

Santa didn't bring me anything, not even a lump of coal. Maybe in today's mail.

Geeze, David - you don't strike me as the naughty type. :xnaughty

Santa has just informed me, you were not forgotten - evidently, there's a problem with one of the subcontractors he uses for delivery. Yup...his secret is out.

He has one of his elves on it as we speak.

I received several neat items.

-- a Smart Bungee cord system (several types of connectors)

-- a container of 650 assorted zip ties (you can never have enough of these!)

-- a pair of latex-coated waterproof all-purpose gloves (and the right size, too!)

-- 2 packages of velcro one-wrap strips, very handy!

Thanks, Santa! :xlol :thup :xlol :thup

I received a nice book of Photos of the Northwest.
Reminds me of the years I spent in NW Washington--- even recognized some of the photos!

Thanks RK!

Warren, those zip ties come in handy for lots of things - new hinges on crab pot doors, rapid attachment of crab pots to railing etc. The latex gloves are good for pot pulling and handling lines. Those velcro strips are useful for a bunch of things - including holding your fishing poles together (better than rubber bands). And you can never have too many bungee cords. I have all of those things on my boat at all times - but I don't know who your secret Santa is/was  .
