My C Dory 22 "C Pelican" has been for sale for about a month--with multiple contacts. We gave the "first right of purchase" to the person who contacted us first. The boat has lived in Las Vegas for the last 3 years and we have used it from the San Juans to S. Calif--mostly Lake Powell. Our New Tom Cat 255 is in Florida any day--and we are in Vegas--with Sea trials scheduled for Monday the 12th.....BUT....
However gremlins snuck in--and on our last trip to Powell, after 5 trouble free days; the "no oil" light came on. There was oil--and it appeared to being properly circulated. However: the engine would run fine for 5 min to 60 minutes--and again the "no oil" light. We would shut down. restart and all was OK--for awhile.
I cannot in clear conscience sea trial the boat with this possiable problem--and cannot find an outboard tech who is qualified and available in Vegas or Powell to rectify the problem--so I have offered a significant reduction in price to the potential buyer. I will also stand behind the engine--and allow the buyer enough to be held to pay for engine repairs. If the potential buyer decides not to take the boat--then it will be back on the market. If I don't sell it on the West Coast in 10 days, I will trailer it back to Florida and sell it there. So please see my notes the For sale section if interested in the boat--and my cell number.
Regards to all. The new TC 255 awaits in Florida!
