With trailer or without trailer?
This makes a difference.
There are individuals who have trucks and will contract on a mileage basis. But often these are non bonded or insured people--cheaper.
There are boat transport expeditors. These usually haul one boat at a time, and have a specialized trailer. Basically the expaditor sends out your requests for bid. I have used one and it worked very well. about 5 years ago, I was able get a 29 foot 9'3" beam 10,000 lb boat transported for about $1 a mile, including loading and unloading. I found a truck which was comming from near where I had purchased the boat, and comming toward my home, without a load. It had to be at their time schedule.
Today it wouold be at least 2x that, and often 3x if the boat is an oversized load. As I recollect, my Tom Cat 255, was about $1 a mile from Washington--but that was with a second C Dory on the transporter.
Look up boat transport or transport expiditor on the internet.
A year ago I would have taken it up for you for the cost of fuel--since I was comming to NY with an empty trailer to pick up my CD 25. Rarely you might find a C Brat doing this.
