At 3pm today the 26' C-Dory Grace Full with Aussie crew Derrick and Terry crossed her wake at Jacksonville after completing the Great Loop in five months and one day. The reasonably quick completion was predicated by only being allowed a six month visa. But that is long enough away from family anyway and woohoo what an epic journey!

Congrats, what an epic trip! I thoroughly enjoyed reading through your blog and seeing all the photos, nicely done!

Congratulations! WOW!! What a great trip. We were at the Hoontun Island gathering when you started your adventure and then enjoyed following your progress on your blog. We just missed you at the Straights of Mackinaw by one day and also at Muskegon, Michigan by a day. We had hoped to catch up with you on Lake Michigan and wish you safe travels. So glad that you had this adventure and we will look forward to reading the book. Jan and Lee on the Tully-B

Derrick and Terry,
Congratulations on completing this wonderful journey. Most of us WANT to do this, but things in out daily life, seem to always pose a barrier.
I really enjoyed meeting the two of you at your (rainy and windy) stopover in Portsmouth, Virginia. Lastly and more memorable for me was reading your daily blog.

Derrick and Terry, while you were out cruising the Loop, we hosted Flint and Leslie for an overnight here at Birch Bay! You have got us all excited all over again to plan our GL cruise!

Good job! Would have loved to meet you here in Detroit!
Any other C-Brats planning to "do the loop"?

We'd like to do it. But I can't see taking several months off of work to do it any time soon.

Doing it fast just to say you've done it is not my plan. I'd like to take my time to see the sights on the way.

A great trip. The Last Hoorah also just pulled into port at St. Marks, florida, completing the trip in 6 months. I did it solo and had a great time.
