Actually, the gentleman bought the boat first. I think he'll fit in just fine. And I will add another welcome to the list.

When i picked my boat up, at the factory, in Aug '05 i brought it there to " CANVAS RIGGERS ". ( they did a great job, by the way. ) now, they seemed to have moved. can you help me find their phone #? Thanks

This past weekend, we had a near 20 boat raftup on a local river approx. a
5 mile ride at most, for 90% of those attending. For the past 15 years,
many of those boats went to St. Michaels, a 70 mile ride?

We were one of the few boats that just rode around for the heck of it.

Thank you to all the C-Brats for your warm welcoming. I look forward to getting to know you and to learn from your experiences.

Just to get a couple of things clear...

Although my formative teenage years were spent growing up on an island and spending most summer days out on friends' boats, I have never owned one myself. I hope that doesn't revoke my honorary membership to the C-Brats or cause you to fear the certain demise of C-Dory and her sisters Skagit Orca and TomCat. I promise you I will view all decisions taken by this new CEO from a perspective of it being my family out on our boat, my weekend potentially spoiled by an ill advised shortcut, or my dream turned into a nightmare by lack of service.

Also, I do have a brother but he is not named Fred...

I will visit C-Brats as often as I can, but please understand I have a tremendous of work to do (and to do soon) to fulfill my promise above. This may mean some time between posts.

Hi Rich, and welcome aboard! Seeing as how you now own a whole "pod" of C-Dorys, I'm quite certain that your membership in C-Brats is secure :wink .

Let me throw in my welcome. We do need someone who is willing to talk to us, and also keep C-Dory going.

You do have a big job. Running a boat factory such as C-Dory, etc, is going to be a tough job for the next few years. Hopefully the type of boat C-Dory represents will have a bigger market share.

Never the less, we are all interested in the prosperity of your company, since we (at least most of us) own C-Dories, and are passionate about them. That passion makes us critical of the factory at times, but don't forget we want "our" boats to be the best.

Welcome aboard and best of luck. Now, go back to work.
