So, a buddy of mine is an artist and I wanted some t-shirts to give to guests as souvenirs. It will say "Crew" over a smaller "C-Dory" on the front and this on the back.

Hi Ken,

Wild ride (in the picture) but I sure like the idea.

I have just recently seen a commercial from this place:

Oh wow, that is long, hope it works. This one might be better:

This is where you can do the design and then order your own or others can also order from your design (I think) and if so that would be really great.

But....... What are you thinking. Just you order for your boat or have something for a group order too???? Sure worth exploring.

What size would you think the diameter of the back picture will be?

***PS: I have no interest in this company, just saw their commercial.

I was just thinking about my boat but you have a good idea.

I could up-load a high rez copy to them and they could change the colors to match your different boats.

I talked to my buddy. He charged me $100 and said he'd put your boat color and name it for $50 per shirt.

I'm not making a dime on this.

I could also upload a high rez one without the boat name to a t-shirt company if you'd rather do that.

Might want to take a look at how this would work. The t shirts I have were done on VistaPrint and they looked pretty good, but are starting to show the wear. Starting to look at replacement.

Thank for showing this.

I love the idea and love the picture -- glad it's a 25 and has twins. If I wanted navy blue instead of burgundy and "Tessa" instead of "The Athena," and no designating of all those who claim to be captain to crew how would I get the shirts made? Not much time before Christmas!

Do a google search for your area-since you are in Berkley, I suspect that there will be many T Shirt shops. Back when we were racing sailboats we had lots of custom T Shirts made, with the boat name, line drawing and race. Many of them are still "wearable".

I liked single color line drawings--that was the cheapest. If some member of your family has talent they can submit the art work, or have it done from a sketch. Most shops have someone who is talented and can work from a photo--some extra $$ for the artwork.

There are several different techniques, from printing with waterproof inks, to silk screens, and embroidery. Look very carefully at the quality of the T shirt! (Or what ever.)
