Canvas Riggers in Anacortes Closes

Canvas Riggers, which built many of the enclosures for the C-Dories sold by EQ Marine, has closed its doors permanently. It was located in Anacortes near the casino. The owner's former partner, Rick Karr of Oak Harbor, (360) 929-8600, built the canvas for my Tom Cat; however he has not responded to my most recent email inquiries.

The Canvas Riggers owner referred me to Debbie at Skagit Valley Canvas, (360) 293-2675 for my future business. I am not sure how experienced they are in boat canvas.

Thanks for the heads-up Warren. That's too bad. They did quality work when they were together. They took a little longer, they were a little more expensive, but the workmanship was great. We love our camperback.

This is the second bad news for C-Dory aficionados. (The first being when EQ Marine ceased being a C-Dory dealer).

Canvas Riggers performed stellar canvas work!

Has anybody dealt with or heard any feedback on anybody on the Olympic Peninsula (likely in the Port Townsend area) in Washington state who has done any C-Dory canvas work?

Tanks for your input.

Regards,
Dan Denver

Hi Warren,

Due to family demands Rick has had to cease canvas work as well. I can't give you any definitive recommendation as I don't know where to go for really good canvas in our area my self.
