I recently bought an old 83 16 foot angler
Everything checks out fine....except I found water in the balsa core of hull. On the starboard side there is wood rot. On the port side no rot , just moisture. Fairly extensive moisture in nearly the total floor.
The boat is too old to put money into tearing the floors out and replacing the balsa core.
Is the fiberglass portion of the hull study enough to just leave things the way they are?
Any suggestions besides donating the boat to charity?
