Changes to C-Dorys thru the years

Hi,
I'm interested in purchasing a C-Dory 25 cruiser. I'm interested in the differences between the 2000 model boat to the new ones. Have their been major mods through the years? Do all C-Dorys have the same hull shape and ride characteristics? I've heard that the C-Dory will roll less in choppy water (when standing still) because of the flat bottom, is this true? Any info would be appreciated,

Welcome aboard, Bob. There were a half dozen or so 25s made around 1996. They have a slightly different interior arrangement from the later models. No doubt, someone will correct me, but the current 25s started production again around 2002. There are some cockpit differences between the 2002s to 2005s (open across the back) and the newer boats. Around 2006 to 07, a change was made in the location of the fresh water tank, moving from the bow to the stern, when the Sealand toilet with a built-in holding tank was used. Change from Decregard cabinets to molded cabinets after the early 2007 models. Same hull, as far as I know.

We have been delighted with our 25, having used it coast to coast to coast.

Sme time after early 2005 the aft deck was changed from a glassed in flat panel to a molded part of the deck mold with removable center section for access to the fuel tank.
 
Bob, You should read the thread Looking for a C Dory25 or Venture 26, I started a few days ago. I received a ton of good info, much of which answers some of "your changes over the years" I too am looking for a C-25, but in the south east, good luck. Roy
