Hello,

I am a first time C Dory owner. I've been looking for years and I fianlly got one.

I am trying to find a cover for my boat. Does anybody know where I can find one for the Dory profile.

Dave

Hi Dave and welcome aboard. Congratulations on getting your C-Dory! :thup There are a few folks here with covers for their boats, but I think they had them made locally from a canvas shop. I'm not aware of any vendor who supplies C-Dory covers... too many different configurations with radar arches, etc. Hopefully, you'll hear from some who use covers to get you going in the right direction.

Best wishes,
Jim B.

Hello Dave welcome. Good to see another "Angler" in the general Delta area of CA.

First thing to learn here is a good way to find pertinent threads. I find using Google "advanced search" (searching within the domain C-Brats.com) to be the best way.

There was just a thread on this recently and I hope one of us can find it.
I remember some guys ordered them from Angola Canvas and Sunbrella seemed preferred. Apparently they have the CD measurements. Others had success with EBAY searching for cabin boats. Find the one with a picture that looks like half a tent on a boat. They say they are a pretty good fit and were pleased. I 've been using a pontoon boat cover from a 25' Pontoon, It's not a pretty fit, but it covers everything (motors, Radar, Anchor pulpit) and it's easy for me to handle by myself.

If I find better leads I'll let you know.

Chris

This is the EBAY guy, I think:

Dave: Welcome and congradulations on your Angler!!

Great thing about our boats is how we can modify them to how we use them.

You may...or may not....want to wait a bit for a custom canvas....as you may...or may not want to add/remove/change/add more/ take off some... to your boat....which may....or may not change the overall profile of a custom canvas. If you are going to pay for custom work, get it as right as possible the first round...... or.... they will and can just cut a new hole, add a new piece here and there.....

Then...do you want to cover it for storage....or be able to leave the cover on while towing....?

But, a good ol HomeDepot/Lowes/Walley World tarp will just get you covered until you get her rigged....or unrigged out a bit.

But, do not cover her too often.... get out and use it!

I did not realize there was a Sacremento CT....only about 2915 miles from Sacremento CA...

Congrats again on your boat!!!
