Cruising from Gulfport MS to Apalachicola this week...

I'll be in my Whaler Montauk, rigged to camp-cruise. Looking for a few C Brats along the way! I'd really like to get a good look at a few CD22s.
I plan to make it to Wefings by Friday or Saturday just to have a look around, then head back west.
Just a solo trip since the kids are in school. Anyone around this week on the gulf coast?
 
Sorry we will not be at home--or we would be happy to host you. I can give you instructions to our dock about 12 miles off the ICW if you want to spent a night there. Free dock, power and water…

The 22 is on the trailer in the lot left to the house.

I can also give instructions to friends who will host you in Bayou Chico, which is the main boating center of Pensacola--about 6 miles off the ICW.
Camping is great at Fort McRae, just to the West of Pensacola Pass. No dogs on the National Sea Shore (Sound side) of the anchorage. Dogs OK on the North shore, which is a spoils Island. Rare snake and no gators, at this anchorage.

I have a friend who camped on his BW 17 Montak, with his wife and 2 kids aboard all thru the gulf Islands. Had a plywood platform and tent for four which set up forward.

I have Sandpiper on the boat lift in Callaway Bayou...right across (south) the Callaway boat ramp. I work from home and would be available to show you the CD22... I am just of the ICW. Call Eight five zero eight four nine 9296 if you like.
 
We were in Appalatchacola this last winter, its a very special place. Carrabelle, just a few miles farther east is even more quant and quiet. That whole lost coast/Emerald coast is a secret gem of the US. Hard to go wrong there.
 
Stop by Perdido Key for a cold one. Call "C'est C Bon" on the VHF.

I'm hangin' round reeling from a love affair I had this weekend
