Hey we are planning a little cruz from boat ramp at marine drive Portland to Astoria. 25 - 27 May...we are thinking about doing this on Thurs because of the holiday the marina at Astoria said we cannot make reservations so thurs may be the best time to do the trip...this is not firm....looking for any C-Dory people that want to come along or meet us along the way to join in.......

Dee and I did the cruise from Steamboat Landing just upriver from your boat launch on the Washington side. We took the Clifton and Prairie Channel on the last part of the river and would recommend that part of the trip. Watch your tides as it can get rough on an ebb with opposing west winds from Tongue Point to Astoria.

Note the charts are not accurate, but the advise is.

Another thing is we found Ilwaco has nicer shower and restroom facilities. Astoria is building a new facility that looks to be very nice but I don't think it is open yet.

That would be correct. Showers at Cathlamet, though.
