Right on - you're the best, TyBoo!

Your nerd credits are climbing. You've now got enough for an 80GB hard drive, if you need one...

Wow.

To the Les shop would be fine. Sounds like he'll have a place to stow them real soon.

What a pal. I owe you big time now.

For those wondering what all the hubub is about, I bought some very cool Vector Sports adjustable rod holders quite a while back on eBay. Pic below:

Couldn't bring myself to drill more holes in Da Old Da Nag, particularly when I realized they could attach to my Scotty downrigger mounts if I had an adaptor for the base plate. Which is what our resident metal man just created above...

You get a heck of a bargin on the adapter plates. I got called into work last night, and it took about an hour to finish the machine repair. Then I waited three hours while the operators set it up and made sure it would run. So, I had the shop to myself, overtime, and a call time to boot. Plus, I get the day off today. Such a deal.

I'll take the bag of goodies up north tomorrow. My dad emailed me and said he would be here about 1:00 today since I am home. He says he has a surprise for me. I'm betting he drives up in a brand new Dodge diesel. It better be a blue one.

If he got dualies, he would never bring it here after the ration he gave me. "Holy S...! You're towing less than 10,000 pounds! All you get with dual wheels is two more tires to buy!"

He has a 1999 Dodge half ton, with all of 13,000 miles on it. He has been wanting a 3/4 Diesel for a couple years, and when he heard how much quieter they are this year, he couldn't stand it anymore. He's been shopping.

Yep. It's another Dodge diesel. Dad always did want to grow up and be just like me. Wrong color, though.

Perfect! Thanks. When you come down there, hows about bringing that fancy new digital camera in case I forget to take pictures of a certain red CD 22.

Bill,
Those guys at the factory are really pumpin' out those C-Dorys....It looks like our vessels aren't going to get to meet each other until they both get to Cornet Bay! I was hoping to get a pix of both of them at the factory, but yours was so fast that I didn't even get down there.

Whew - thanks for getting us back on topic, Dave. I was just about to rename this thread "Da New Da Odge"...

Yup, I think a meeting of the Red Boats at EQ will probably happen - Les mumbled some excuse about getting three other boats ready for Santa, and then he's going to take time off at Christmas. Man - some people and their priorities...

I am going to get Christmas Day off...I think. Last year we added-on to the parts room and my sister's husband, Larry (who loves that kinda stuff), came over on Christmas Eve day to lend a hand...we finished up on Christmas morning but we made it on time to their house for the big meal. :smile

We're going to shut down the store operation this year after the end of business hours on Saturday, Dec 20th and re-open on Jan 2nd. In that time I hope to get another new addition to the parts room built, the old parts room re-organized and new parts put away, a new customer counter built for the store, a new alcove built for the file cabinets in the office, a new special tools board put up, inventory taken, the shop cleaned & re-organized, and two new boats delivered to their owners.

Then I've got some big plans for a couple of red siblings in the first part of January; they'll probably be next to each other in the shop for rigging. There's the huge accummulation of "stuff" to be hauled out from the parts room...it's all coming to me now...one for you, and you for you...one for you, and one for you...we're going to have to mount the motors as the very first step so we can tell them apart! They're going to make great Poster Children boats though...I'll have to use them as my photo examples for rigging options.

Oh, just a little... :P

I'm hopin' our pal Dusty, with that great camera and an eye for the perfect shot, will snag some photos for our online scrapbooks...

Whaddya say, good buddy - can I tempt you with some more smoked salmon?
