Da New Da Nag

It's a deal! Lots of photos, Bill, and I'll try not to mess up the camera. Takes better pics if I just point 'n' shoot. Makes me look like a pro though -- not sure what kind.

Dusty

Sorry Bill - no red boats. Les said he might fetch it soon.

I left your bag of goodies with Les. The reed switch is the same as you had before. That little guy I had the picture of needs at least 5 volts to power the LED and close the circuit. The counter is only 3 volts. The switch that does work is the same one B~C is using. He whittled off most of the aluminum bracket and glued the switch to the windlass. I'm planning to do something similar instead of making more of those fancy stud gizmos. I'll let you know how it works out. Got any more of them little bitty magnets? We don't have any burglar alarm stores around here.

Cool. Can you wait until SBS for the magnets? If so, I'll bring you a few. If not, I'll point you towards where I got mine (online).

If you already have the things, I'll wait until SBS easy. If you have to order them anyhow, just tell me where and I can do it myownself.

FDO, Bill! Getting antsy?? Going to be able to wait for the SBS to make your first trip north to touch it??

So what's red, white and grey and sitting on a trailer, on an island, somewhere in the northern reaches of Puget Sound?
You're such a tease. Now get of the dang computer, and get to work...

Are you sure it ain't mine......tee hee...

(Yeah, Les get to work!)

Yup, this one has Charcoal Tweed upholstery...not Dubbonet Tweed. It's the only way I can tell them apart until the motors go on. :wink

As an interesting side note...we would have never considered ordering a RED C-Dory. Kathy and I both looked at it yesterday (it got here in the dark the evening before)...and we LIKE it! Amazing...who'da thunk it.

Ain't she cute! Photos in Da Danged Da Nag Album. Great choice of colors, Bill. Didn't shoot pics inside because everything is still stowed for shipping. I'll keep the photos coming until you say STOP.

Dusty

Dusty, I know I ain't your type, but I feel the need to give you a big hug. What a beauty - those are some fantastic pictures.

OK - don't want to scare you off. Fill that photo album up, and I'll find someone far cuter than me to hug you, and stick to my responsibility of providing you with fish... :xlol

I predict that by the end of today, the Da New Da Nag discussion will surpass the Cronet Bay talk in number of posts. I also predict that by the end of the weekend, the lovely and reclusive DanaG herself will be so moved by Dusty's camera work that she braves the perils of the Pub and posts a message for all to see on the - gasp - World Wide Web!!

Of course, I am getting my butt kicked on the Snowflake vote, so I could be wrong.

Hey Dana!! Nice boat!!!

Hi All,

I have to admit, the boat IS beautiful. The most beautiful part about it though, is everyone's enthusiasm and support! Bill is a very happy and lucky guy.

I like the bright red color Bill chose, and I like the idea that Les is going to put in all the man hours that Bill did on his first Da Nag, getting it ready.

So, I let loose my excitement for the boat when Bill shows me pictures (most notably, the awesome pics by Dusty!) But I remain guarded, because too much enthusiasm and I'll end up on another 5-hour cruise in the fog!

Happy Holidays!

Dana

Dear Kickingandscreaming (soon to be Kickingbackandcooing):

I seem to recall Bill spending a lot of time wandering the docks at Cornet Bay talking on a cell phone before the color was chosen.

...a 5-hour cruise with curtains! You pick the color!

Bill & Dana,

Nice looking 22' C-Dory that's going to be bearing the banner of "da new Da Nag".

Now the fun really starts as the trinkets get installed.

Congratulations on the new baby..................enjoy!
