Daydream Will be in Blaine Marina this Summer!

Yesterday morning we rented a slip at the Blaine Marina. We plan to keep it until mid-September. In 2008 and 2009, we kept Daydream at Hilton Harbor dry storage during the summers, which was OK, but we were tied to their operating hours for the sling, and Bellingham is a lot farther away than Blaine. We look forward to just getting in the car, taking what we need down to the boat in a cart, and taking off. Salt-Away is my new best friend, after we launched at the boat ramp and before we move the boat to the slip, I gave the new brakes a good Salt-Away rinse. The trailer is now in our driveway and the boat is in the slip. I plan to do Salt-Away flushes on the new Suzuki 200. Salt is the enemy of trailer brakes and outboards! I have learned by lesson!

It will be a lot easier, Pat. There is something to not having to tow, launch, retrieve...tow again. I use Salt-Away after every trip and have a pump sprayer full (mixed) in the truck for the trailer brakes.

Have a fun summer! 8)

You are gonna get spolt (that's Texas talk for "spoiled") - it is nice to just bop to the boat and take off; no messing with launching, parking a trailer, and retrieving. You will probably find that there will be days when you just go down to the boat to take a nap, maybe visit with your dock neighbors. A little sunset cruise is a great impromptu outing. Get a taste of marina life, other than "just passing through," and you may find a whole 'nuther style of boating. Enjoy your summer!
