I seem to be having trouble posting. Every post shows up twice. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Vern...... Oops, looked like it worked right this time but still don't understand what I did wrong!

Check after you post and delete the second one. You have 30 minutes!

How do you delete a post? I typically have to delete the body of the dup and then say "oops, was a duplicate, ignore" or something like that.

To the original query: I think Roger is probably right on; there is something that happens if you use the "back" button after you've posted that can make a duplicate post very easily, although I forget the exact details. If you instead do something like just hit "View posts since last visit" up above, I think the problem will be avoided.

I think the "back button" is the culprit. Avoid it and use the "go to the top of the page" or "view your post" options.

It also seems to be more sensitive on some systems.

Thank you boys, I'm back on track. It was indeed my use of the back button that was throwing me a curve. Up until about 9 years ago I said " just say NO to computers" but then it became obvious that I had to join in but electronics are still just as confusing to me as electricity. It's tough getting old! Vern

Vern, it happens to the best of us, and the rest of us too. (Both getting old(ER) and doing the double, (sometimes). Habit I guess.

But then I love my twins, and I am a sound proponent of duplicit redundancy.

I just noticed, I did it again right after I said I was on track. I never have been accused of being the brightest bulb in the package or the sharpest knife in the drawer. I've always said "life is a matter of knowing your limitations". I guess this is one of mine ! Just posting now to see if I can get it right but looks like the odds are against me ! Vern
