I was thinking the same thing. The puzzeling part is that this fuse is mounted just above the battery switch in the transom area not more than 3 inches from a second identical 50 amp fuse that provides protection for the anchor windlass. The windlass fuse is still functional. I checked and it can be mechanically tripped and can be reset. I know that not all 5 amp fuses from the same manufacturer are perfectly identical.... but it is does provide food for thought. we will see what happens over the next few excursions out to the banks of NC.
