Dickenson p6000 heater install?

Spring is here in Alaska and my cdory 22 angler is getting a heater at last!

Searched some threads and looked through the galleries and have a question on installation.

I have the p6000 on hand but have limited mounting options due to the fact I have an Angler and the flue cap needs to clear the kayak, kayak rack and inflatable that live on the cabin top.

Some folks have built some substantial brackets to mount their heaters and others have mounted directly to the window frames.

Anyone have horror stories of stoves ripping out of the light aluminum frames in rough seas?

Are people using sheet metal screws? Hard to tell in the photos.

Thanks

I mounted the Dickinson P9000 to the window frame with 4 short, larger diameter, stainless sheet metal screws. It is a solid mount and has remained tight. Check out our album titled "heater". This particular installation does not waste any space, but because of the height of the heater, there is not much heat on your feet.

I am considering trying one of the Eco Fans to see if it would fit on the top surface of the heater and possibly move more air without running the electric fan. Hope this helps. ken
