...that to put braces on two kids it costs about what a main motor for a C-Dory would cost? The bad news is the insurance only pays for a kicker. I wonder if the orthodontist likes to fish?

.....and for the price of a couple of pairs of jeans (the kind that they like), you could buy a kicker too!!

That was a great pack of girls you had at SBS though Mike, I know it's worth it! Just be glad all 4 of them weren't yours..... Then you'd have enough to buy twins for a TC255!!

...and speaking of twin motors, I already put the braces on their mom and their aunt way back when motors were cheaper.

I looked back at that post and it sounded like I was complaining. Not at all. There are some pretty good reasons the girls need those things - way more than just cosmetic. We're good with it, and actually thankful I have the resources to do it. I signed up a Flexible Spending Account through work, so what I pay is pretax. Almost like getting 1/3 off. It is medically better to start Jamie's now rather than wait until next year, and the ortho office is working the accounts so I don't have to start paying on Jamie's until next year's FSA, since this year's is at the limit and spent.

The motor analogy was a joke I told the girls on the way out of the ortho this morning, and it tickled me a little so I appropriately posted it on the boating forum. There are no complaints about the crooked teeth. I do, however, reserve the right to complain about the kind of jeans they want.

Mike,

You are soooo busted! People down here who know you know (aka Murk) you are kidding about the kicker reference. Those girls could not have a better Dad. Keep it up, Grampa.
