I have cleared the last major hurdle in the prep for my Great Loop adventure. I depart from Rockport, Texas, in a couple of months and was struggling with how to manage a dinghy aboard my 2002 C-Dory 24 TomCat. I sketched up some ideas and those were confirmed when I saw Ranger Tug's solution for their outboard boats. My solution isn't as robust as theirs; however, I like its simplicity and the lower cost.
 
That look great, simple and easy to use. Couple questions, are you still able to tilt the engines up fully? How does it affect the weight balance? I know that my TC255 does not like any extra weight on the very back, wondering if the 24 is not that affected by that.
