Although this may be more dinghy than you want, (it is a West Marine PVC 9 1/2 high pressure foot air floor which will take up to an 8 hp, and will plane with two people with 8 hp. plane with one person and 3.5 hp. Goes great with the Torqeedo 1003...Weight is in the 60# category. It is rated at 1200 # capacity or 4 persons capacity if that were necessary.
We use the Garhauer Crane davit. I just made a speader bar which is very near the balance point, and makes putting it on top easy for 80 and 72 year olds with back problems (looking down the line for you)...
We also like the slat floor, Achillies, Avon, Bombard etc in the 8 1/2 foot size. A small soft floor dingy is great for one person...but have you even stepped into a soft floor boat? Gets harder as you get older! If you buy a PVC boat keep it covered and out of the sun/heat, or rolled up and stored when not in use.
