Dining table solutions

When someone would put too much weight on the outside corner of the dinette table it would sometimes pop upwards at the side wall and disengage from the brackets.

Solved the problem by putting small brass slide bolts at each table corner at the wall.
The side wall is cored at this spot so screws did not penetrate the exterior.

The table is very secure now.

Because the table is now so secure at the top, I was able to change the orientation of the support leg. I drilled 2 new holes in the support leg, allowing it to extend an inch or so more and now it can rest on the horizontal ridge on the side of the boat rather than on the lid of the storage box. We now can access the storage area without messing with the table leg.

Our feet could not touch the floor sitting at the table, so we raised the lid a couple of inches. This allows our feet to rest comfortably on the floor when dining and gives a bit more depth to the under table storage locker.

Later today I will try to put a couple of photos in our album.

Same thing happened to me on our 22 in very rough seas and a good friend suffered a compound fracture of an ankle :cry when he went down in the aisle with me on top of him.

I solved that problem much the same way but used quick disconnect pins instead of bolts/nuts.

We just got our C22 and I had this problem at first. I found that if I tilted the outer edge of the table down when installing it into the brackets and then lifted it up to flip the leg all the way down the table will lock in solid.
You can not move this sucker when it is locked in
