OK, quite often I hit the button to post a message, and the dang system just sits there and spins...so I cancel and hit post again. Then I see that there are two copies of my message posted! I usually just delete the second one, unless of course it happens in the For Sale forum, where deleting is not allowed. I have seen this happen to others occasionally. Anybody else have this problem? It seems as if some ACK is getting missed on one side or the other. Is this the server or is it my computer? Doesn't seem to matter which browser I use.
 
Sounds like the connection and data transfer. How often does it occur? Any certain time frames? Are you using dialup, dsl, cable , wifi or wireless broadband-WBB. If it is WBB the data is passing many different points to get from A to B. As a quick check, you ping an IP address from the command line or use a free tool. This will check the response time. OTH "they" might have mapped your address IP and using a tool to put you on a holding pattern as an annoyance. Just kidding. really Just like cell phones that you can rollover calls directly to voice mail
 
You don't have interference with a wireless network and a microwave oven, do you? It took me a long time to recognize this problem. In our new house everything is located in different proximity, and the problem has evaporated. In our old house Janet would be cooking dinner, hit the microwave button, and freeze my internet connection.
