EPRIB and PLB

I bought the same one, Harvey. And now you've reminded me I need to check on the registration date! I think it was two yrs ago that we purchased it!!! 8) :idea :thup

OK, Mark, sure glad you're still here using it. Somewhere in the NCAA registration process I noticed that they say you will get a reminder by either email or fax about 60 days before the registration anniversary. To renew on line is supposed to be easy, if you kept your 12 digit, alpha-numeric-symbol pass word.

Here is the NCAA link:

www.beaconregistration.noaa.gov

There's a button for renewing a previous registration there too.

It just came, and I just did it. Re-register this time. Only took a couple of minutes. I did check each place they had my PLB numbers, to be sure they were correct. Didn't need to change any of the other info.

So, Mark, If you did yours March 2016, it is time again, soon.

Although the ACR PLB does not provide a tracking service, It is a shortcut to survival if bad stuff happens. I have found I am not only carrying it on the boat but also on the motorcycle.

Primary safety feature. One of my friends bought one for his wife who is a cook on a Tug in AK--she carries it with her when traveling from Pensacola to Valdez, plus on her exposure suit when on the Tug.

We carry ours all of our road trips in the car, RV and have 3 on the boat--one for each, and one it the ditch bag.
