Extreme Sea Conditon Pictures

Wow, thanks for that link. I've been sailing on the Irish Sea, and that is one SERIOUS piece of "inland" water. The big tides combine with wind off the North Sea and a shoaling bottom to create some incredibly steep waves. And that's on a nice day! I never made it to Cork, but you can see from the videos (and the sheer number of different videos) that these conditions are not atypical.

Closer to home, this morning I spotted a Coast Guard video of a sailboat bouncing against the rocks on the south side of Lopez Island. Yikes, but that looks uncomfortable; nice work by the Coast Guard, as usual.

Boy, youzz guyzz really have some big onez out there on the left coast!

Nothing like that out here on the right coast, less we get one of those little hurricanes or tornadoes.

Sure wish this here DUD(e) could learnz to speel (spell).

No more comments abt the Ches. Bay chop...

That was really good video, but I think it was meant as a memorial to one of the pilots who passed away. It is amazing that the pilots can board ships in such monster seas. Thanks for the link!
