factory Guy Response

How long does it usually take the "Factory Guy" to respond to your e-mails. I sent them an e-mail with attached photos 10 days ago and a reminder one yesterday and I'm still waiting for some type of response or acknowledgement that they received it.

Hey Chuck! Times differ or they have for me. Jeff has a lot going on with the boat show travel time ramping up, and, I guess we do sometimes forget he is the VP of C-Dory. I sometimes wonder just how many emails he receives from our 1700+ C-Brats alone, combined with email traffic from the C-Dory dealers, and then the folks that keep parts and things flowing into the plant to keep the boats coming off the lines. Man, I am glad I am retired and do not have that anymore.

I emailed him about 2 weeks ago for some feedback on a gathering, and have not heard or saw from him. Then, other times, I get a response within 24 hours.

Hope you get your answer to your question/problems soon.

For what it's worth, I emailed him once and did not hear anything for over a month only to find out that I had left an "S" out of his last name, so my emails never got to him. Also, those guys don't just hang around their office desk all day waiting to sort spam from important email. As for me, I usually only open mail from someone I recognize. You may have to put some C-Dory question in the subject line to get noticed. The spam level for me is now 3-400 a day! It is sick...

I have the same problem, I sent an email string to both the factory guy and another C-Dory person and have heard nothing yet. I too sent a follow-up yesterday.
This is not my usual experience with the Factory.

If you have a serious probelm--get on the phone. When my steering failed, withing half an hour I had a response from Jeff, Marc @ Wefing's and I had a VP of Teleflex on the phone. Parts were shiped the next day overnight express (It was near closing time on the West Coast).

Mundane problems seem to take longer.

Incidently if you are having that much spam--you need to get a better spam filter. I do still get some--but only a couple a day and they are usually some variation of the Nigerian scam--which is fairly hard to filter out.

In my e-mail heading I put my Hull # and indicated it was the first CD-25 sold by Scott R with the new company ....Prior to my e-mail I did call the Factory and spoke to someone about my problems. He helped a bit but was unable to address some of my questions and problems. The person they were trying to reach for me was away so they I think they forward my call to the shop. I wasn't sure if I was talking to a tech or an employee.
Since that phone call I had additional concerns and decided to post them to the factory with photos so they would better understand.
I'm not trying to be-little the "factory guy" by any means. I only wanted to know......"How long does it usually take the "Factory Guy" to respond to your e-mails......
Thanks for the input

I have a spam filter, but it sometimes filters out new emailers who are not spammers. As such, I have to occasionally go over the entire list of spam to see if someone from C-Dory, or another important sender, got filtered out.

Hey Guys,

I am the guy that now gets all of the e-mails here at C-Dory. This transition took place at the end of September. Prior to that I only received e-mails from the c-brats and from customers that had my personal e-mail address. It is difficult to sort through all of the spam 2-300 per day and on top of that our server went down last week. If you have not received an e-mail back from me then I probably have not received it from you. Please forward it to me and I will get your questions answered. jeffmessmer@c-dory.com We will also have another long time employee (20+ years) available by the first of December to help answer technical questions. This will be a great benefit to our customers and a big help to me. In Byrdmans case I did receive his e-mail I just need to pick up the phone and give him a call.

I would also suggest that you pick up the phone if you need an answer sooner than later. My cell phone and office number are listed below.

Thank you,

Jeff
