After looking, saving $ and researching for almost two years off and on I finally bought a 1987 22' Angler named “Fish Wisher” - for those of you who are interested look up FishWishers home page ( I just typed it in my browser) it shows a little history of the boat and the man who owned it first.
He tells some good stories and he even caught the last legal monster Sturgeon 72” 107lbs on the Fish Wisher. His picture with the Sturgeon still hangs in the boat (pretty cool history)
So far I have re-powered with a brand new 90hp Yamaha with troll control and broke the motor in last weekend at Lake Shasta.
I just ordered a permatrim which it desperately needs and has had great reviews from you fellas! (Thank you).
I installed a new captains chair.
Washed-buffed with compound and waxed - looks great again for a classic
:smiled
I might need new electronics which I’m not too happy about but we will see if a new transducer will fix the problem - if not my sounder is bad and not worth throwing good money at old equipment- (Garmin 4210).
I sure appreciate C-brats site and all I have learned from you all, it made my purchase easier for sure.
Any one looking to buy a C-Dory should definitely browse this site for some time to learn the basics before purchasing.
Pictures to follow once I read the how to post photos section again...
Crab season starts soon - more money to throw into the black hole but so worth the memories to be had.
