Let the good times roll! :D

Don't fear coming to the dock - you're gonna do that and the end of each fun trip out! 8) Practice, and remember: fenders are your friend.

Have a great time with your new boat, and keep us posted on your experiences.

Best wishes,
Jim B.

Welcome to C-Brats and the C-Dory life. I (have not yet converted my wife, but will when the ocean is calmer in August) am new to my boat Sea-Cruz and the brats have been invaluable as a resource. Have only had her out a few times since I just bought her in April. We needed a little time together before taking her to the ocean. I suggest using C-Brats to help you visualize each step of the process until you can see it clearly. I did and it went so well I kept thinking I must be doing something wrong as it was almost too easy. Even the decision to use my Toyota min-van as a tow vehicle was arrived at by communicating with "Tortuga" who has used his Sienna for all of his adventures. My decision, but it sure helps to "talk" with other C-Brats who are doing like things.

Again, welcome to a wonderful boat and a wonderful group of helpful people.

Ron

That don't look like no official C-Brat beer in his hand. Someone better edumacate that man about Snoqualmie Barley Pop.

Had another fabulous day in Anacortes.....met up with our first C Brats....Herb and Willie (and Jake) from Willie's Tug.....a very nice boat and super nice people......thank you for your welcome and the nice visit.....Craig and I were able to get a bit further from port today...slowly getting our confidence up and venturing further each trip. Today we cruised from Cap Sante to Skyline and then around some small islands before heading back. We got sort of a late start due to shopping for much needed items like a garbage can and a small carpet for under the table so the dogs would have someplace to travel. Yep we are dog lovers! I also forgot to mention that we met up with a relative of Bob Austin of Thataway yesterday. Charless and Marjorie Fowlkes stopped to say hello when they saw us pull up to the sling launch.......so hello to Bob......
okay tomorrow's plan is to cruise around Guemes to Eagle Bay and then back to port....sadly we have to load Salty up before 5 pm so we can hit the road to home early Saturday......I really don't want to go home! Can I just stay here forever?

I heard that Snoqualmie was in Safeway, but the Anacortes one does not have any. We tried Pat, David...grins.

Hauled Salty all the way from Montana to Cap Sante to spend a few days playing before the snow flies. Salty will spend the winter here in dry dock. Anacortes is beautiful as always. People so friendly. We would love to meet any local Brats if you are around.....we are cruising a bit farther every day and loving it but still taking baby steps.....we are in and out of the marina but Salty is located on P dock..... Stop by if you have a minute to chat.....

Craig & Julie,

Be on the lookout for the new Marinaut 215 Betty Ann. They're on their shake down cruise in the area for at least another week. As new boat owners, you should have a lot in common.

Thanks ....we actually saw Betty Ann yesterday....they were headed into Cap Sante as we were heading out.....looked great and was cruising right along..I bet they enjoyed the day! We had a bunch of non marine stuff to do today but I hope to catch up with them before we head back home.....Plan is to try and make the Seattle boat show in Jan/Feb and then the Cbrat gathering next May....if you'll have us!
