Fish hook removal... OUCH!

I was making a joke. Really just a joke. And, as for the tolerance for pain among the sexes, all I can say is that I would gladly run a large barbed hook through my thumb before I would give birth ( speaking only from the standpoint of pain of course). Our son was 10lbs 6ounces. :cry :cigar
That's another day I will never forget.

Sorry about my reaction Steve, actually kind of wondered if you weren't joking, but sometimes in this type of communications it can be difficult for me to properly comprehend the nuances in what was meant to be said.

Ease up you guys. Joking about a subject is usually a good thing. Even about hooks in your body.
And FYI.......I was 11 lbs. 1 oz. when born and that is why my Dad beat me on the head when I was little and kept saying you big sob you spoiled everything.

Now when is this winter going to be over so I can get the CD out again.???

Jack,

Up here winter is officially over. It's 30 degrees (+) outside the house right now. That's about an 80 degree swing in a week and a half.

Next winter starts Friday, I think.

Pat,

Isn't this a cold crazy winter???
I am down at Deep Creek "visiting" my C-Dory and checking up on my house here.
I was here last week and it was -20F and today it was up to +42F, high wind and rain. I just noticed that my Alaska flag is gone as well as 3' of the top of the flag pole. Now that was a gust. It was there at dinner time.

Mon. is plane time heading to Az. until April. I will be properly worrying about the Alaska weather while there.

Jack

Jack,

Sometimes we do get out of town this time of year and head south. But mostly we just try to stay snug in the old log house and ride out the freeze. I kinda envy you down there in AZ, playing Mexican Railroad or whatever, and probably smiling a little when you read the temps up here.

That was a nasty blow that came through south-central, wasn't it? Today it was so warm up here that one of the ice sculptures outside at the UAF museum fell apart. But it was warm enough to shovel snow off our roof.

I haven't had C-Farer down on the Kenai yet, but I have flown out to Kalgin Island a couple of times to fish the red run off the beach.
