Floor seam along back of cabin.

There is a noticable gap at the top of the coved seam at the base of the rear outside edge of the cabin of my old 87 angler.

How important is keeping this crack sealed? Does the cabin just sit down on top of a fully glassed floor such that there is no real issue of a little water intrusion here or is there a possibility of seepage into the floor?

If it is important to keep this sealed, what is the sealant recommended?

Thank you, Chris

Yes, the bulkhead sits on the floor, Calking keeps the water flow to a minimum
I cleaned mine out with MEK / Scothbrite and re-sealed with
3-M 5200, 5yrs ago & all is still good!! :beer

The bulkhead/floor seam on my '87 has never cracked, leaked, or shown any kind of movement or wear. I've always assumed it was fiber glassed together like the rest of the boat seams. I guess I'll have to take a closer look!
