Hello to all,
We have been crusin in our Roadtrek Motorhome all over Florida since Jan. 15th. Our C-Dory, C-Trek stayed home in Pennsylvania this winter. I missed her, but the low water in Lake Okeechobee would have been a bummer even for a C-Dory on the rim route.
We like the Ocheechobee Waterway area so we decided to camp at the Moore Haven Lock camp ground. The first night we got lucky because they had an all you can eat ice cream party at the camp club house. Pat and I love the stuff so we were some of the first people in line. there were a few people in the room sitting at the tables so we headed over to join them.
I was suprised when some said "Fred" and "Pat"! We sure did not have name tags and we did not think we knew anyone in the camp. It was Terry of LAST DANCE. What a reunion that was. Terry had been in his motor home at the camp since January.(He is smart to get away from the cold NY winters) He was without a C-Dory too, he did have a small fishing skiff. We talked about the C-Brat doings and the up-coming C-Bay gathering in June. Terry says he will try to be there with Red and White Hots(almost as good as the crabs).
Sorry it took so long to post this, but our lap top has been giving us fits and not connecting at most places. We are now home in Pennsylvania getting squared away from three months on the road. I sure have missed reading all the forums. It will take me a while to catch up on all the news.
Our cat Mr. Grey likes motor home travel almost as much as C-Dory time. He did not get to go swimming on this trip, but he did run into the Florida bush several times. Luck him we always found him be fore he became a lunch for one of creatures with a lot of teeth.
