Two mods I would like to make in my 22'. Cutting out some of the port bulkhead between the pilothouse and trunk cabin, to increase access and ventilation forward; and making a forward-facing front port seat. I have looked through lots of photos and posts on making a barber chair mod, all of which make a wood-butcher like me envious. But has anybody taken out enough of the port bulkhead to make a knee well for a forward facing seat, which would avoid moving the seat box and cutting the dinette table? It would require a movable seat back, but that is easy enough. I have to carefully look at the dimensions involved to see if it would work, and hoped somebody has tried it can share the experience, before I do any unnecessary thinking! Thanks for any thoughts.
